Warranty Policy and Claim Procedure

America’s Power Source warrants that all products and services that are remanufactured and/or sold are free from defects in material or workmanship as specified by the following:


RESOLD COMPONENTS



Warranty coverage for products produced by other manufacturers’ is limited to that offered by the manufacturer of these products.


LIMITED OR CUSTOM REPAIR WORK



APS strongly recommends that certain parts, e.g. valves, valve springs, injector tubes, valve seats, etc. be replaced in the remanufacturing process. Any deviation from our recommended procedures can be made at the dealer’s request; however, warranty coverage for components which are not fully remanufactured according to APS standards is limited to the dollar value of the original invoice for a period of six months from the date of the first installation.



REMANUFACTURED HEADS, BLOCKS, HOUSINGS



APS warrants its remanufactured products to be free from defects in material or workmanship.



First Six Months Coverage:

Parts, Labor, Progressive Damage



Second Six Months Coverage:

Replacement of part or credit equal to the amount of the original parts


REMAUFACTURED CRANKSHAFTS, CONNECTING RODS



Six Months Coverage:
Repair or replacement at APS option; cost of the part at original price only.


AMERICA’S POWER SOURCE WARRANTY



For its remanufactured parts and components, APS will pay for all parts and labor needed to repair the warranted failure to the functional condition existing immediately prior to the failure. This included replacing at dealer cost any progressively damaged parts on the engine or component in which the part was installed. Labor will be paid in accordance to the published flat rate times to a maximum of $45.00 per hour. No premium, overtime, or holiday rates will be allowed. Only APS approved parts will be used in making the repair. APS will pay for the lubricating oil, antifreeze and filter elements that are not reusable due to warranted failure.


GENERAL TO ALL



APS will not be responsible for any failure resulting from abuse, misuse, improper

installation, or lack of maintenance.



DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES



The foregoing warranties are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties either written, oral, or implied, including, but not limited to, any warranty of merchantability of fitness for any particular purpose. We shall not, under any circumstances, be liable for any special, incidental or consequential damages, including but not limited to downtime, travel time, transport time, analysis, or any economic loss. The warranties set forth herein are the sole warranties made by APS. No agent or sales representative of APS shall have the authority to modify the terms expressed herein.


WARRANTY CLAIM PROCEDURE



If the dealer adheres to the following procedure in strict detail, all warranty claims will be processed within 30 days of receiving the completed claim form and the failed parts. All failed and progressively damaged parts must be returned un-cleaned and accompanied by the following information:



(1)  Copies of all work orders and receipts for all parts used in the original repair/installation;

(2)  The original invoice;

(3)  Copies of all work orders and receipts for all parts used for the repair of the failure; and

(4)  A completed Warranty Claim Form. Give as much detail as possible, including a description of the operating symptoms prior to failure.​


Warranty material must be sent to us freight prepaid. If the claim is accepted, the freight charges will be credited back to the dealer. Do not combine warranty material with core shipments and do not list more than one failure per claim form. Parts involved in claims become the property of APS upon acceptance of the claim settlement. For denied claims, parts will be returned to the dealer at his expense if requested within 30 days.
