Long Block Remanufacturing Process Image Gallery

Engine block is placed on a stand and the main caps are removed.

The crankshaft is rechecked for journal size.

The crankshaft is installed in the block after new bearings are put in place, all main bolts are torqued and then turned to final settings. End play is then checked and the crankshaft is rotated.

All liners are thoroughly cleaned with mild soap solution and hot water. Liner O-Rings and packing are then lubricated and installed.

Liners are then installed.

Pistons are checked and assembled onto the connecting rods. Piston rings are then installed on the pistons.

Torque connecting rod caps and check fit.

Install camshaft.

Detail and recheck.
